疾病管制署今（29）日公布國內今年第3例茲卡病毒感染症境外移入確定病例，為北部26歲本國籍男性。今年6月1日至7月27日獨自至越南胡志明市探視親友，7月26日陸續出現發燒、寒冷等症狀、7月27日與親人返國，入境時因發燒遭機場檢疫人員攔檢採血並給予敬告單，經通報檢驗於今日確認感染茲卡病毒，目前症狀已改善；其他同行及同住接觸者均無疑似症狀，衛生單位已啟動相關防治作為，並給予「1+6原則」等衛教。
疾管署表示，我國自去年迄今共16例確定病例，均為境外移入，感染國家為泰國及越南各4例、馬來西亞2例，印尼、新加坡、聖露西亞、聖文森及格瑞那丁、美國（佛州邁阿密）及安哥拉各1例。全球2015年起累計75國出現本土流行疫情，疾管署將持續具流行疫情或可能有本土傳播之55國，包括亞洲新加坡、馬爾地夫、越南等3國旅遊疫情建議列為警示（Alert），另印尼、泰國、孟加拉、柬埔寨、寮國、馬來西亞、菲律賓及印度等曾有疫情，惟尚無證據顯示當地已阻斷病毒流行之20國，旅遊疫情建議列為注意（Watch）。其中，新加坡上周新增3例病例，增加1個群聚區，今年迄今累計45例，目前1處群聚區。
疾管署指出，近期鄰近東南亞國家仍持續出現茲卡疫情，且現值病媒蚊活動期，我國發生境外移入病例及本土疫情風險均升高。呼籲民眾返國入境時如自覺可能感染茲卡病毒，應主動聯繫機場檢疫人員；返國後兩周內如有不適，應盡速就醫並告知旅遊史，也請醫療院所如遇有疑似個案，應詢問旅遊活動史並依法通報，以降低疫情風險。
此外，疾管署也提醒，一般成人感染茲卡病毒後症狀輕微，孕婦感染茲卡病毒後可能導致胎兒小頭畸形或死亡，提醒孕婦及計畫懷孕婦女暫緩前往流行地區；民眾如需前往應做好防蚊措施，著淺色長袖衣褲、皮膚裸露處塗抹衛福部核可的防蚊藥劑、住在有紗窗、紗門或空調的房舍等。離開流行地區後請落實「1+6原則」，暫緩捐血至少1個月、男女無論有無症狀都應採安全性行為（全程正確使用保險套）及延後懷孕至少6個月，並落實自主防蚊措施至少三周。相關資訊可至疾管署全球資訊網，或撥打免付費防疫專線 1922（或0800-001922）洽詢。
義大利警方在當地時間5日表示，已逮捕一名30歲的男子赫巴（Lukasz Pawel Herba），該男子涉嫌在米蘭綁架一名英國籍模特兒，並揚言，除非支付30萬美元（約新台幣1068萬）贖金，否則會在網路上將模特兒拍賣掉。
警方在聲明中透露，這名20歲模特兒原先定居於法國，但因經紀人所安排的攝影工作，因此在7月11日抵達米蘭。但是，該名模特兒卻在攝影棚中被下藥並塞進行李箱至少兩個半小時，綁匪赫巴在此期間將模特兒囚禁到義大利杜林（Turin）附近的小村落。
這名模特兒遭赫巴囚禁長達7日，期間，赫巴不僅對模特兒下藥，他還給模特兒拍攝裸照，所幸該名模特兒並未遭到強姦。並且，赫巴疑似後來發現模特兒有一名2歲大的孩子，赫巴表示，按規定不能拍賣母親，因此將模特兒釋放。
警方透露，先前，赫巴疑似告訴模特兒的經紀人，他是代表「黑死病集團」工作，這個組織經常在網路上從事非法交易。經紀人在接到赫巴的勒索電話後趕緊報警，並未支付任何贖金給綁匪。
